Allegations have been flying thick and fast in the electoral arena in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. Politicians from various parties have started targeting one another with insinuations and dirty allegations to woo voters.
Fireworks have started between arch-rivals, Mr Omar Abdullah and Ms Mehbooba Mufti. Some comments by Ms Mufti against Mr Abdullah have angered the latter.
This has resulted in a legal notice being served by Mr Abdullah to Ms Mehbooba and her collegue, Mr Tariq Hameed Karra.
The media cell of the National Conference has been issuing press statements through emails to journalists in the state. And on November 22 (Saturday), the party sent details regarding a legal notice which Mr Abdullah has served to Ms Mufti and her collegue.
The president of Jammu and Kashmir National Conference, Mr. Omar Abdullah, has served a legal notice to Ms. Mehbooba Mufti, President of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and Mr Tariq Hameed Karra, former MLA of Batmaloo for making false, incorrect and motivated allegations against him.
Seeking an apology from the two PDP leaders, Mr Omar Abdullah has said that if they fail to tender an apology, we shall file a suit for damages against them to the tune of Rs.1 crore.
